And then, just like that, after the severe weather conditions and ferry crossing from England to the Netherlands last night and this morning, the clouds parted as the sign pointing us to my happy place appeared…..

Drawing closer to Köln / Cologne the sky became more blue and the sun shone a wee bit brighter….. I didn’t know whether to do a happy dance in the car, or burst into happy tears.
In the end, I couldn’t help smiling from ear to ear like the Cheshire Cat. As we drew nearer to the city centre, I recognised landmarks and streets I had walked down so very recently.

I feel like I have come ‘home’
And sitting here now, being blessed with a room on the top floor of my hotel with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Dom and the stadt, I know how much this place means to me.
Home truly is where your heart is, and this has never been more true for me than with Köln. Seeing the city as it moves from one season to another is so captivating. 💕

I’m looking forward to continue making beautiful memories and experiences in this lovely intriguing city, with people who are very dear to me and new friends waiting to be met 🖤❤️💛
I know I have been quiet on my blog in recent months, but I have been taking some time out to reflect and explore who, what and where are truly meaningful to me and my future.
