The clip above sums up on the eve of Self-Care September, what I have been doing most recently to top up my self-care cup and clear my head of negative self talk

People have recently mentioned to me that they miss seeing my posts about Action for Happiness Orgs daily calendar actions.
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t thought about them in a while…. I’ve been too preoccupied with other matters, but as I listened to other people, realising many are feeling burnt out and anxious, I realised it was time to share these actions and posts.
I will also include personal anecdotes, ‘warts and all’ related to the daily theme. Some will be funny, some embarrassing (doh moments) and some might make you reflect a little bit deeper.
This month, I’ll also include some barriers that might be faced on the road to completing that daily action, with tips and strategies for navigating around the challenge

Why am I doing this? š¤·āāļø
As a qualified Career Development Professional, I understand the importance of self-care as supporting our well-being – physical, mental, and emotional – and how this impacts across all pillars of our lives.
The Australian Blueprint for Career Development 2nd edition, for example, explicitly lists the following competencies for development:
Learning Area A: Personal management
Competency 1. Build and maintain a positive self-concept
Competency 4. Manage wellbeing, mental and physical health
So why not join along with me, as we explore self-care September together?
