I enjoyed having a recent chat about Patrick Lindsay’s book ‘The Home Front: The Never-Ending War Within Our Veterans’ (ADF/Australian Defence Force) & the historical military connection of Café Reichard opposite Cologne’s cathedral/Dom

I truly appreciated their insights because although they are German, and haven’t obviously served in the ADF , they not only completed their mandatory service with the #Bundeswehr, but they also have a close family member still actively serving in their Forces based up in the northern part of Germany

The other thing that our conversation was insightful for, was discussing these topics in relation to #VeteranEmployment

He works for a company that is global and employs people who have served in different countries’ defence forces around the world. We’ve chatted about this before – the strengths & potential challenges that veterans can bring to their industry
