🌿 Finding Clarity in Stillness

I did a bit of a silly thing on Wednesday evening …

One slip on the kitchen tiles and—ouch—I landed awkwardly on my hip. I’d almost forgotten about my ongoing medical conundrum, until that sharp reminder seared through my abdomen.

So here I am on bed rest, instead of at the Churchill Trust Conference, which I’d really been looking forward to attending. Disappointing? Of course. But as I lay here surrounded by my notebooks, nature-inspired books, and colourful pens, I realised—it could be worse.

Sometimes, life has a way of slowing us down when we won’t slow ourselves down.

This pause has given me unexpected time to immerse myself in developing my nature-based ecosystem framework — something I’ve been working on for a couple of years. It’s a model designed to help people gain clarity, purpose and spark ideas through the wisdom and inspiration of nature.

As I rest and reflect, I’m reminded how interconnected healing and purpose can be. Nature doesn’t rush. It regenerates quietly, beneath the surface. And perhaps that’s exactly what I need to do right now — let things take root slowly before launching this work next year, after my surgery and recovery.

So for now, I’m surrendering to stillness. Trusting that even in rest, things are growing. 🌱

Wishing you a wonderful, restorative weekend xx
