The wait is almost over 🌿✨ ….

This morning, as I sat in the hospital waiting room for my pre-surgery meeting, notebook in hand, I felt a strange mix of anticipation & calm

After months of waiting, the next chapter finally feels close enough to touch — the surgical team has now pencilled in a date for my operation, & it will finally happen within the next couple of weeks

I’m deeply relieved & comforted knowing that the specialist who has been guiding my care for almost a year will be performing most of the procedure. Another senior surgeon (from a different department) I met today was also wonderful — kind, reassuring, & genuinely collaborative. It felt like meeting a team who really see you, not just your chart

Yesterday brought one of those unexpected moments of clarity.

While sharing my Drive Your Career card deck during a conversation, I saw someone’s eyes light up with understanding.

“Using automotive metaphors for getting unstuck? That’s a bl**dy good idea.”

That simple sentence rang like a bell — one of those affirmations that remind you your ideas are resonating in the world

With the hospital appointment behind me & the sun shining, I decided to celebrate the small victories of the day: clarity, courage, & connection.

I headed to Altona Beach, ordered some fish & chips, & watched the sunlight dance across the water. The breeze, the laughter of seagulls, the gentle rhythm of the waves — all reminders that life keeps moving, & so do we

It’s been a good day in other ways too. The Australian Supercars calendar was released this morning, & I’ve already marked the key dates on my yearly planner — alongside events like Nascars, the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK & the Nürburgring in Germany, to plan workshops etc around them

The thought of travel, community, & shared passions feels like a beautiful spark on the horizon

And tomorrow, I’m looking forward to tuning in to Spencer Niles’ webinar on Hope Action Theory & Depth Psychology— themes that feel especially meaningful right now

The wait is almost over

I can feel it — that quiet spark of renewal, the promise of healing, & the whisper of adventure ahead

As the year draws to a close, my simple goal is to celebrate New Year’s Eve with gratitude, perhaps with a glass (or two) of champagne & a little dancing — a nod to the joy I once felt at the start of Karneval in Köln, & to the hope that such lightness will return again 🥂✨

I’m looking forward to hosting Fuddle on the Yarra next year & planning on returning once again to Köln – my happy place. I want to also organise another Fuddle on the Rhine in the future

Thank you to everyone who has been reaching out to see how I’ve been — your support means so much to me 💛

Here’s to the small moments that remind us hope isn’t loud — it’s steady, waiting, & ready to shine when we are
