What’s In The Pot?

It’s that kind of weather for making a big batch of chicken & veggie bone broth soup to have over the coming week

Into the mix: chicken frame, celery, onion, garlic, parsnip, carrot, turmeric 💚

The last couple of weeks hadn’t worked out as planned due to circumstances beyond my control, with much disappointment of not being able to spend more time with the person I care very deeply for – I truly hope we can meet again soon, and also coming to terms with an unexpected personal loss

With a heavy heart and severe bout of jet-lag, a very good friend of mine, who did wellbeing checks whilst I was overseas  spoilt me this morning with an in person catch up

Thank you to my good friend for spoiling me this morning, with coming over (40 min trip in each direction) and making delicious smoked salmon & goats cheese bagels for brunch – they were delicious 🙏

She has helped me to start get over jet-lag. It was great catching up

Now relaxing with a large glass of hot water and slice of lemon

🍋 Lemons are from my tree – I was surprised to see that so many are still on the tree. I think I’ll make a batch of preserved lemons.

People really like this recipe that comes from an English heritage house cook book. With so many lemons, I’ll be able to give jars away to friends and former work colleagues when I catch up with them 😃
