💡 Today, let’s start by setting aside a little time just for you. This is the theme of the daily action for Action for Happiness Orgs Self-Care September calendar
Whether it’s a short walk, stepping away from your work station, a coffee break, or simply five minutes of deep breathing, taking care of yourself is the first step to taking care of everything else. 🌿
Some strengths and qualities related to this action include:
🪷 Self-awareness
🪷 Time management
🪷 Discipline
🪷 Balance
🪷 Prioritisation
Do you often feel too busy to take time for yourself?
Why not give these strategies a go?
🌱 Schedule 5 minutes in your calendar specifically for self-care.
🌱 Start small—combine self-care with daily tasks (e.g., deep breathing while waiting for your coffee).
🌱 Too many emails arriving in your inbox? I know I can get overwhelmed at times with the number of “newsletter” and subscribed emails that arrive daily. I can get anxious at the thought of setting large chunks of time aside to clear out my inbox.
✅️ My solution and way to practice self-care that works for me is when I see the email (doesn’t mean I react to the email as soon as it arrives), I select the unsubscribe option. Spending a few minutes at a time seems, for some reason, to me more easily manageable and achievable ✅️

Hi there.
One tatic I was recently shiwn is tapping on your heart area and singing a song. I do it singing Happy by Pharrell Williams, gives you a bounce in your step

It took me a long time to figure this out – but it really is ESSENTIAL to look after yourself.
Great post, Linda 🙂
