96 Kms in 30 Days Challenge Completed!

I’ve done it! This week I finished my Bravery Trust 96kms in 30 days virtual Kokoda trek challenge, with a 9.07km twilight walk around my local lake to clear my head.

I will admit that I was a bit stiff & sore the next day, but it was worth it. 98.36 kms walked and cycled a bit in 25 days. I was happy with the result.

Funds raised will help Australian veterans & their families in need such as:

$20 – Provides pre-paid mobile top up for a veteran for a month

$75 – Provides fuel vouchers to help attend medical appointments

$150 – Fills a fridge with fresh food for a week

$500 – Pays for two months of utility bills for a family

I would have liked to have finished the challenge earlier, but Melbourne doesn’t have the most reliable of weather, & I’ve had some health issues recently, which meant somedays were a struggle to find the energy to concentrate on work let alone anything else. Words of encouragement & generous donations helped me focus to make it there in the end.
