The Time Has Come to Explore Other Paths

“The freedom of the open road is seductive, serendipitous and absolutely liberating.”

— Aaron Lauritsen

Wow, what a feeling of freedom that engulphed me over the weekend. Friday found me finishing up my last day in a role I had held for almost 4 years. It was a bittersweet moment, as I truly will miss the team I worked with, and was touched with the farewell lunch they put on during the week

Taking the opportunity for an impromptu road trip on Saturday along the Great Ocean Road to Appollo Bay, Victoria and continuing onto the Twelve Apostles, felt so uplifting. I loved feeling like I finally had the freedom to just get out on the road and explore. I don’t know about you, but long road trips, always helps me to relax, and unwind

The feel of the sun on my skin, sea breeze was so uplifting, helping me to fully release my past. By the time I got home, I really felt like Saturday was the beginning of the rest of my life.

I feel so fortunate to have stepped into my new role on Monday as a Careers Counsellor, for a program quoted recently by the OECD as an example of Good Practice. This is what I have worked hard over the last couple of years, upskilling / studying to have this opportunity. It isn’t every day that you are able step into a role that is what you are passionate about.

I was made to feel so welcome right from the beginning. Totally exhausted by the end of the day, but it was oh so worth it… Loving diving into being extended right from day 1

I was very touched and surprised when this gorgeous bunch of flowers arrived at my new workplace yesterday. A very thoughtful gift from someone wishing me all the best for my new job. Thank you 💐

Looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me
