The Places That Help Us Think: Navigating Change Beside a River

There’s something about walking beside a river that changes the pace of thinking.

Maybe it’s the movement of the water flowing past as you wander slowly beside it.

Maybe it’s the reminder that not everything needs to be forced forward all at once.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how differently people navigate change.

Some move quickly.

Some pause.

Some circle ideas for a while before taking the next step.

And sometimes clarity arrives less through “figuring it out”…

and more through noticing what keeps drawing your attention back.

A conversation.

A place.

A feeling.

A question that won’t quite leave you alone.

Perhaps navigating change is less about controlling every turn…

and more about learning how to move with curiosity, observation, and trust in the process.

Kaffee und Kuchen helps too ☕

Especially when there are so many delicious things to sample.
